Dell PowerEdge R740 Servers

If you are looking for a solid, easy-to-expand 2U rack unit for VMware, Proxmox, TrueNAS, backup or SQL – this is one of the most cost-effective models on the secondary market. At Hardware Direct you will find R740 in over 140 versions – with drives, with RAID, with rails and with a 3-year warranty. Without shortages. Without extra charges for obvious features.

Dell PowerEdge R740 Servers – a classic that doesn't go out of circulation and still delivers

Not every project needs PCIe 5.0, DDR5 and hundreds of watts on a server processor. Sometimes the key is a stable, predictable machine that won't fail under load and will allow you to comfortably handle VMs, backups, SQL or domain controllers. R740 is exactly that.

Two processors from the Skylake-SP family (from Silver to Gold 6132), up to 768 GB of DDR4 ECC RAM, PCIe slots for network cards and HBA, 3.5" or 2.5" bays for enterprise-class storage – everything you need to create your own data center in one 2U.

From 2,600 to 24,000 PLN – Dell PowerEdge R740 servers in versions for every budget and project

Hardware Direct is not an outlet where you wait a month for delivery. It's a place where you have the server physically in stock, ready for pickup or shipping. That's why you can immediately buy a basic model for the lab – or a ready kit for production, without needing to assemble from "building blocks".

We have over 140 Dell R740 configurations, with prices starting from 2,682 PLN net – and ending with complete kits featuring 2× Gold, SSD, RAID and 128+ GB RAM. Looking for something specific for Proxmox, SQL or Zabbix? Chances are we already have it.

Do you already have your own drives? Or do you just want the platform? Dell PowerEdge R740 is ready

More and more customers don't need drives – because they have their own or are building storage with ZFS. That's why we offer many R740 models without drives, but with complete equipment: H730P RAID, iDRAC 9, BOSS S1, 2×PSU, cooling, rails and bezel – everything that should be in the kit.

Just insert the drives, plug into the cabinet and you're done. You don't need to assemble anything separately, you don't need to improvise with parts from elsewhere. This is a solution for those who want full control over the server, but don't have time for unnecessary formalities.

Why choose R740? Because it has everything you need – and nothing you don't

The 2U format allows for more: more drives, more RAM, better cooling, easier access to components. Compared to R640, which is also great, R740 simply offers more working space – without a drastic increase in power consumption or costs.

This is a unit that can serve for years – and that can be easily adapted to specific needs. There are no extra charges for basic features. No artificially limited ports. Just solid work.

Every Dell PowerEdge R740 server from our offer is tested, ready for work and covered by a 36-month warranty.

You can order one unit or a dozen – shipping is completed within 24-48 hours. Need advice, expansion, adaptation to a specific system? We will help you select a sensible configuration – without pushing and without platitudes.
